This vintage silk shawl has an ikat (also called ikkat or patola) pattern printed silk sarees patchwork on one side and printed silk saree on the other side of the stole. The two sides have been hand quilted together using extremely fine Kantha quilting. Usage of two layers of silk imparts the shawl durability. Pictures of the stole have been taken from both sides to show the various colors and hues in the item and give you an exact idea of what you will receive upon purchase. This dual silk layer stole is well suited to be used as a table cloth, table runner, or bed runner.
